Why gymnastic/groundwork

Why gymnastic/groundwork

Did you see my groundwork youtube?

This is definitely the foundation of my horses staying positive and sound for longer and my riders technically good riding.
Keeping a horse sound and in top condition requires about two hours interessting*dont let your horse get bored* work every day, the horse should be worked and ridden regularly. Both circulation and digestion are improved by exercise.

Gymnastic/Groundwork exercises are beneficial for both horse and rider. For myself, the exercises helps my eye, position, balance and straightness.
For the horse ,it improves flexibility, strength, and coordination, smart groundwork helps build the confident, trust and a well-behaved,happy horse over time.
Its importent to be focused on your horse doing the exercises, this is also needed in the course, but more important your own position and balance, The exercise won’t work if your position is to much behind or/and to much infront, and in unbalance. “heard this before”?
I also dont ride my horses as if i must give them a good ride every time,i try also to be a balanced passenger or as i sometimes say to my students, feel like a balanced beginner on your horse, your horse must learn to arrange his feet and his body over the poul him self and later the fence, you need to learn him this at early stage, and the rider to stay away from leaning on the rein.

Its your job to stay out of his way. If you run into difficulties, you should lower the poul, kavaletti or fence until you get your horse trust back again. Once he is calm and balanced, you can go back to your exercise.
A crossrail can be to high if the riders balance is wrong.
A step on the pole!
The chances are good that he will learn look down and not do it again. If he continues to step on the poles on the ground, I suggest do easy excercises until he learn, little by little and patience will get you a cleverer horse and safer at the jump.
Cavaletti groundwork are time consuming and need patience, but if you have patience and practice groundwork cavaletti exercises regularly, jumping a course will be easier for both you and the horse.

I would have been so pleased if the instariders would show more excercises direction good balance and seat.
Thank you for reading..
