This week’s training has been a little easier as the horses have not been Showing for a while.
Kavalett exercises for fitness and to get a quicker/relaxed horse depend what horse you ride.
On Tuesday I jumped an exercise with only straight lines with more controlled riding, which allows me to ride the horses a bit faster at the Competition without the horse getting too much on his front legs and out of control.
I never jump my horses much either high,
I always practice different exercises, to keep the horse interested,happy and sound.
I got my best results in this way of training and,this way of excercising has kept my horses healthy, with very little damage and treatments. I’m not very fond of treatments of joints.
However, I use a lot of alternative treatment to prevent injury, when damage has occurred, it’s too late to do anything.
I work my horses on hard surfaces like Asphalt, a little trot and a lot of walk, desert surface very soft , climbing, for sure groundwork,with walk between the sessions to never get a exhausted horse, I’m careful that the horses will enter the Arena by themselves, If not, I have to change something in my way of training.
The most important is to train smart,feel and know your horse from the ear to the tail.
Our sport is complicated but so beautiful when you understand to give time and lots of patience to understand.
We learn everyday,that’s why we are thrilled by this amazing sport.
