A part of my life…..

A part of my life…..

Hello there❤

I get many inquiries and ongoing questions about  my everyday life and my life today compared to earlier years, how I plan, who helps me, and how I have come to where I am today. Coincidence .. not just….

Yes it was a coincidence that I ended up by Stall Schockemöhle.
Winning the GP in Norway, made Schockemöhle buying my horses and at the same time luckily headhunted to their  stable to ride their horses.
Big change in my life.
Coming to amazing Schockemòhle and more than  200 horses, 3 indoorschools,4 outdorrarenas, famous riders,15 people just for cleaning boxes,30 Grooms just to mention a part.
It was a  dream,for little me….
I was responsible for my stable with  20 great horses,2 grooms and 1 extra rider as a team.
Great sallery, fair workinghours and respected as rider,in Germany its no problem to go shopping in ridingbreaches.
German tv did a documentary about my life at Schockemöhle.
I was Constantly on show maybe once a week at home, everything was just arranged for us competition riders to do the best possible job for the horses to archive result, result was a ultimatum,so i learned to ride under huge pressure.
You can imagin Paul and his team with customers in one corner while entering the course with not that gifted horse, and just in need to deliver a perfect round.

Quigolo at Hamburg Derby finished 6th and 10th

Grandino winning International  GP in Italy,Spain and France was Amazing Arcivement.
Bundeschampionat,Sangerzeide and PSI Auktion was every years highlight with all the managers eye on you to do good,no misstakes had to be done, and if your horse would be moved to the next rider.
15 Registrated horses one show weekend was a number to get used to,half of the horses you got to know 3 days before showstart.
Registration, food, hotel, papers, all so professional taken care of from headoffice at the yard, i could concentrate on my task RIDING,yes we was spoiled in a way.. but we had to produce.
It’s necessary to understand how much and how important the “small” things is for the bigger picture, and to be sourounded by a good including orgeniced team, it means everything to make good result..
The ready/easy horses got sold fast, the special once stayed  longer, it was my job to get them ridable for the next customer.
I loved all my horses, even the  less gifted.
After 10 years with first good but surely also bad experiences,I quit my job by Schockemøhle, for sure I regret my desition more than once, but my health said stop I have  had luck so far regarding  injuries and I had and still have  a strong body because i stopped my professional riding in time.
Fall and injuries, somedays i could hardly sit  in the saddle, hide the pain no complain, light seat got my belowed style in a German community..
I could  tell you so many stories….
I got prepared for the German style by Pether, Stable Luther in Plön who amazingly let me ride  Kiel International horse show on their horses 1 month after arrival, and got placed,”i will never forget sitting beside Franke Sloothak”7 years earlier in age of 19 where I also left  after a  while, the move from Norway to Germany became too big change and emotional hard, but im greatful for this time by the great Luther Family.i got prepared for my next Germany trip thanks to them.
Paul told me after i had been teaching at Stable Schockemøhle with good result for some years to keep going teaching, that’s the sports  future he told me,and this is what I do today, teaching, riding and design.

I love what I do because I don’t exaggerate anything i believe,Living in Italy and Dubai has taught me to enjoy life and live every day, not just stress around from one thing to the next without thinking.
My dream was never to have my own yard,i found it to much work and no time for riding and teaching what i really love to do.
I  learn my  students to ride, and  to understand the horse.
I remember when I called home from Germany telling, I learned how  to ride a GOOD clear round, I was 26 years old that time, and had been RIDING from 5 year old also Europeans and Championships for many years.
I got told your horse need to do the job jump away from the poul…I know today that’s not the case,a small prosentage of the horses do,the very best one,the rest needs to be trained in a good way and be encouraged  through the course, and this is what I try to learn my students,to think, analyse and  be positive.

I always tell my students to ride GOOD,the winning will than come.
I  learn my students horsemanship, to have patience and to understand the horse and how it needs to be ridden, animals is like human nobody is the same.
The German way  is still my advice how to  learn to ride and to be a orgeniced rider, look at the Germans how they ride…..just woow.
This morning I rode my fine Cash which now had a jumping  free period for 4 months, posted Saddles shipped to  Germany, Norway and Sweden, walked the dog and completed this story.
My life is different today, and im fortunate to have lived and get to know so many different countries, learn to know their culture and their way of life,to feel that every country has good and bad people, it cannot be divided into Country or religion.
Time will show what will be the next step in my life, for now UAE is still amazing….

Thank you for Reading.
Anita.
