I moved to Dubai because…

I moved to Dubai because…

I get many questions about why I moved to Dubai,So I thought it was time for an official answer.

I’m a person who has never settled down to many peoples despair, but I’m very seldom satisfied with what I’m doing, so I’ve moved  around, looking for new challenges and opportunities.
I love positive and happy people, that’s  also those types of people I choose to work with, I distance myself from negativity, and thoose who  just want to achieve something for their own needs.
Life is about take and give.

Having lived in wonderful but criminal Italy for 1 year, Sweden in 4,and Perfect Germany in 11.
I packed the suitcase and the horses on the plane to the UAE for new adventures. My assets were sold and the 10 horses I was riding were sold or returned to the owner.

“Of course, the UAE was different, and what I had read and been told did not match very well,it still don’t do?

The Competitions were not as easy as everyone had said, so one  horse was sold quite fast, fortunately everybody speak English  even the youngest children as English is the first language in the UAE.
Amazing people wherever you come, greetings  you get, even if the locals do not like you.
Amazing Competitions with great money even the national shows, and I’m the only Norwegian to represent Norway for the internationals,so diffecult to get squeezed out from shows here.

Sun is shining all year, maybe 2 rainy days if you are lucky or unlucky, fantastic food, affordable  living compared  to Europe. import and export are easier, 5% tax if you earn more than 40,000 euros a year inside UAE.

Everything  moves in a  slower pace, except the Cars and the jump off?
Patience is something you learn to have  in the UAE.
4 hour at the Bank, get used to it.
I didn’t  visit UAE before i moved away from Italy “I can always move back to Europe if I did not feel comfortable ”
7th year and I’m still here.
Thanks to my wonderful husband, Now Barn  Owner ,my amazing horses and dog , amazing Shows.Yes, I can mention many positive things.

My  miss for the  family is of course always there, but i followed my dream of horses and the Sport,so  I’m  taking the consequences  of moving away  from home at 16 Years old.

“Read about Anita in the menu to know more about here life”
Of course its also  bad days, thats necessary for developing your self, but with the family littlebit closer it would be  easier in many ways, specially in younger days.
Today is  much easyer living far away from home, regarding the many ways to communicate.
On Thursday it’s show time,my horses feels great this season.
For the first time I’m riding for fun and my only goal is to Winn as always, that’s the only thing that matters, taking  the risk, stand that the bar falls down in the fastest time,or to get the 2nd place both which happened to me  each 4 times last season.
I’m always happy what ever.
Important is that my horses stays sound, and definitely my  biggest wish before winning.

Thank you for reading.
